STM are also MTA members so you know you are dealing with true automotive professionals.What is STM's Holden Tech Night?Maintaining and modifying your Holden can be confusing even for the petrol heads amongst us. STM’s tech night is designed to bring together a group of like-minded Holden owners for the chance to learn a little more about what makes your car tick, how best to look after it and most importantly, where to start if you want more power.This is the perfect environment to learn the best ways of improving the power and torque of your engine while achieving that all-important V8 rumble you bought your car for in the first place! What to expect on the night?Holden-tuning tech talkSTM’s tuner Andre Simon has an enviable reputation. With over 10 years experience and a number of world records up his sleeve, his skills are in demand throughout NZ and around the world. Andre is also a regular tech writer for NZV8 magazine, New Zealand Perfomance Car magazine, and Australian Zoom magazine.Andre will be discussing what STM can offer you, and how you can realise huge gains in power, torque and fuel economy from your Holden. There will be the opportunity to answer any questions you may have as well. Dyno demonstrationA Dyno is the tool STM use to tune your Holden’s engine, and make sure that any of the performance parts they have fitted are making more power. STM have invested heavily in the most advanced dyno cell in the country and they want to show you how it works.On the night, you can see exactly how the dyno works and why it is the safest way to tune your engine. You will get to see the dyno in action as we perform a live dyno demonstration with our VE SS Commodore at full throttle! Bolt-on parts to improve your HoldenSTM source only the best quality parts for upgrading and modifying your Holden. They have done the research and testing so you don’t need to – STM’s upgraded parts will fit right first time, and provide proven gains.A selection of exhaust systems, intakes and headers will be on display in during the night. OTR Intake System Shootout
Over The Radiator (OTR) intakes are one of the best places to increase the performance of your Holden or HSV. Recently STM did an in-depth dyno analysis of some of the most popular options on the market for an upcoming issue of NZV8 magazine. On the night we will check out the pros and cons of each so you know what options are available and exactly what you can expect from them. Examples from each manufacturer will be on display too. About STM™ | Speedtech Motorsport LtdAndre Simon is the founder and director of STM. He has been involved with the automotive scene from a very young age, getting involved with karting and building his first kart engine at the tender age of 13. Where Andre differs from a lot of automotive engineers however is in his technical ability. With a keen engineering mind, Andre graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Technology with Honours before opening the doors to Speedtech Motorsport around 10 years ago.
